Ion (B grade)
After spending 10 years designing yoyos, I’ve come to realize that there’s no such thing as a perfect yoyo. I never really used one yoyo for more than a couple months because I was always creating something new, and every time I make a new yoyo I learned something new that I could apply to the next. Designing yoyos for other people, in particular, allowed me to take a birds eye point of view and design based on another person’s preferences, even if this yoyo didn’t suit myself personally. This could either confirm how I felt about a certain feature, or completely change my mind about how a design aspect would affect a yoyo. Through service to others, I learned more about myself.
As I get older, I stopped trying to yoyo really really fast, and focus on tricks that make me feel happy. A lot of times, I want to do tricks that make the string move, rather than the yoyo itself move. For this, I wanted to create a yoyo that was stable and long spinning. For this, I took inspiration from the Abduction and Ignition.
I also like to do some horizontal tricks, so I took inspiration from the Flash and Flashback.
Finally, I wanted the yoyo to feel good and not hurt when it came back. For this, I took inspiration from what I learned from the Elimination (sorry!)
In order to service everyone, I decided to make both monometal and bimetal versions.
Did I mention these ended up being really good 3a yoyos?
This yoyo is as close to a signature for myself as I’m ever going to make.
For a limited time, as my way of saying thanks for 10 years of making yoyos, I am doing a pre order price of 100 dollars for both the Ion (bimetal) and Anion(monometal) together. Please add your preferred color to the cart and use code “100” for the discount
